Ehrlichia Chaffeensis Ab

A blood test that detects antibodies to Ehrlichia chaffeensis, a bacterium transmitted by the lone star tick (Amblyomma americanum). This test helps diagnose Human Monocytic Ehrlichiosis (HME), a tick-borne illness that can cause fever, headache, fatigue, and muscle aches. The infection is most common in the south-central and southeastern United States, including Texas.
